Sometimes a photograph is a perfect image for painting a series of scenes. What I’ve posted here is the first (oil pastel, 14 x 11) for my “Up the Hill” painting series. The second painting will be the same scene done in muted colors demonstrating a gray-misty day. And, the third could be of an early winter with dead grasses.
