Beyond

Landscape paintings showing distance always hold a special appeal to me.  The view seems to draw me right into the scene and especially when distance hills has a mist in the air.

This scene is cropped from a larger field-side image that had all the perfect elements I was looking for to draw the viewer to the edge and “Beyond,”  thus the name of this oil pastel painting.

My way of inserting a little peace into our troubled world today, hope you enjoy.

Such depth, absolutely beautiful! I’d like to walk from here all the way to those distant hills, taking pictures, breathing deep all that fresh air.

  2. I can smell the crispness in the air here. The freshness of the grass, the rustling of the tree leaves. So beautiful!

Love this Mary! Beautiful! Very natural… (Also, I didn’t see any of your works on my newsfeed…So, maybe have to check why that is happening…)… Just visited your blog and found your new work…

Hi Divad, thank you for your beautiful comments on Beyond. If you have not found my posts in your Reader, please unfollow my blog and then re-follow. Working with WordPress Staff we figured out that something happened to my subscription and if you unfollow and re-follow it seems to correct the situation and my blogs should be back in your Reader. Thank you for letting me know, it’s a frustrating aspect of blogsphere – I think!
