The states of North and South Carolina have some of the most beautiful scenery in the northeast. One of the secrets of these States is that they offer many lakes lush with thick beautiful forests and gorgeous views of distant hills and mountains. That’s what captured my attention for my latest oil pastel painting.
During my years of business travels I spent a lot of time in the Carolina’s and always loved the scenery. I hope you enjoy this quiet lake view from South Carolina.

A sweet calm. In my boat, with my camera, waiting for that perfect shot of a bird catching a fish, the gentle water against the hull. I can hear thunder in the distance. The sky is breathtaking. I love the water. So peaceful, beautiful! ~Scott

Hi Emily, thank you. There was a storm coming in during sunset and the atmosphere was soft with color – the oil pastels were blended to keep that feel. As Poppy said, it’s so relaxing ~
