Couldn’t forget Thursday Drawing! Here is my latest update on Gentle Compassion #8.
For the moment I’ve completed the horse (still have some adjustments, eye highlight and whiskers), now it’s on to the hand. I’ve never drawn a hand so that will be my challenge coming up for next week.
I admire what you do. I am reading a biography on Georgia O’Keeffe right now so art is on my mind. She has just started with the large paintings of flowers.
Thank you very much for your kind words and comment. Georgia O’Keeffe is a fabulous artist – I’ll bet your are enjoying your read!
Wow! this is looking great! Can’t wait to see it finish!
Hi Patricia, thank you so much – I’ve really enjoyed working on this piece. Actually very relaxing.
The horse look great !
Hi Petronette! Thank you for your wonderful comment!
I was never any good at portraits or people parts, even though I used to spend hours copying Da Vinci studies of hands when i was young. Yours looks great.
You might be getting a border on the photos because of the caption, but I’m not positive about that.
Thank you very much – hopefully when I tackle the hand this week I can manage it correctly. You may have spent hours studying Da Vinci hands, but I’ll bet it was a learning experience that can’t be reproduced. Thank you for your lovely comment! The next post with an image I’ll going to leave off caption and see if that makes a difference – thanks!
Ah, the hand. They’re tough, but you won’t have any problem at all.
Hi Elena, thanks. Oh I don’t know about that, I’ll have to think through the muscle mass, bone structure and wrinkles, and then consider the values ranges.
Wow just beautiful~
Thank you very much, what a nice way to end my week – thanks!
I love your work
Thank you very much, what a wonderful thing to say. Take care and have a wonderful weekend.
You as well Mary praying here in NH we col down soon 🙂
Hi Lisa, you are so kind – I’m only following your example, except I can’t draw as fast nor as many complex subjects as you! Thank you really for your encouragement and support – it’s such a good habit to get into, keeping things fresh. I feel so good about the direction.
Horse challenge..MASTERED!! Wow!!
So nice, thanks Cyndi!
mary, it is a masterpiece already. you’re illustrating how one must stay focused and true to the end result and not try to hurry it. true professionalism. i feel honored to witness this step-by-step. it’s like watching an orchid come into bloom!
