I had a pleasant surprise the other day when I saw that these beautiful flowers were finally opened and displaying all their glory. If you are an artist, please feel free to use these two pictures as reference images – aren’t they just lovely?
A quick update on the three paintings I’m working on for the annual Oil Pastel Society Competition: #1 is at 95%, #2 is 95% and #3 is about 5% and will be at 95% by this Friday. Next week all final touches will be completed and be submitted – then I can start to introduce you to these works. It’s been a long process, filled with learning and challenging experiences but worth every minute.

Thank you so much! At the beginning of June my husband was working in the yard and thought all the long stems were weeds and cut them all down – oh my to my surprise! But, lo n’ behold they came back stronger than ever and just gorgeous. Glad you like them.
