Today’s 30 minutes of drawing turned into 40 (forgot to look at the clock) and it looks like I only got the tiniest bit of work done on this piece – ah well. This drawing is tedious work because of the rock details, but I don’t mind it lets me get totally involved with what I’m doing and shut out the outside world. Although at the rate I’m going it will be 20 weeks before it’s completed, just kidding!
Today I continued laying in the base at the top of the drawing I’m about 95% – used graphite 4H, 2H, HB, B, 2B (in just a few places). I’m expecting next week to start on the upper middle part of the scene. Here are two photographs: one a close-up and the other full view for a general perspective.
