Sometimes WordPress can be ever so frustrating, today is one of those days. It’s been several days since I went through my reader – having just spent two hours liking and commenting, many times twice on the same post, I’ve found once again many likes didn’t stick. Sorry, I can’t do this round of blog posts a third time ~
My studio has been very patient with my absence this morning . . . the most interesting ocean scene is waiting for todays application of oil pastels.
Have a wonderful day and please know, I’m out there visiting and enjoying your posts. Mary
It’s truly aggravating when technology thwarts us, but not to worry about the comments or likes. I hope WP helps you out, but until then, use your valuable time making beautiful paintings:)
Thanks Elena, I try not to let WP tech issues not bother me – but this time I let it get the better of me. I think if you let the reader get too full, some funny things start to happen with it. So it’s best for me to spend a couple of minutes each morning to avoid this. Anyway we are back to normal – hope you are having a great day!
I will join the chorus – I have had the same thing happen to me so I understand! I’ve also had blogs I follow get unfollowed for no apparent reason. It’s all very frustrating!
Thanks Jackie, good to know I’m not alone. Take care and have a wonderful day!
Thanks! Same to you. 😀
We can only take one day at a time Mary. Keep posting we will keep reading. Visit when you can and don’t stress about it. If you can not visit me, then I will visit you. Have a great day.
Thanks Patricia!!
I don’t know what kind of computer you have, Mary, but sometimes it helps if you delete your cookies and reset your browser. Then hopefully you can start fresh and get back to your painting!
Thanks Elisa – it’s under control now and I got myself totally lost in my studio with a new painting. That felt good – have a wonderful day!
That’s very sweet of you to feel sorry, Mary.
But don’t. That’s not a big deal. 🙂 Well it was a waste of energy probably but that’s all.
Since I came back from my summer vacation, I don’t seem to find the time to handle everything like before… WordPress, Twitter, my Facebook page, my Facebook account… and sometimes I feel guilty because I’m too tired to visit everyone’s blogs… lol
Well, we are not machines… 😀
Can’t wait to see your next painting.
Hi Cha – oh yeah the pressures of social networking. And then we sort of let go of the guilt and begin to relax allowing ourselves not to feel the pressure. So lets paint and keep on-keeping on! Looking forward to more of your lovely paintings!
I’m so excited about my 2 next paintings, Mary!! Can’t wait to post them (they’re finished) and one of them (an oil pastel portrait) is one of my biggest projects ever. 😀
Let’s paint, you’re right! Vive l’art. 🙂
Very exciting Cha – can’t wait to see them!!
The one I’m working on may or may not see the light of day – we’ll see. Need to let it sit and come back to see what patterns are revealed.
Wow, this happened to me and I just thought it was a result of my slow internet connection. Maybe that’s why I feel like no one ever looks at my blog? Maybe they are and I just don’t know it. Thank you for your kind comments and many likes on my blog in the past Mary. 🙂
Thanks and could explain why you aren’t receiving notifications of likes/comments. Looking forward to seeing more of your gorgeous paintings!
Don’t worry, wordpress can be demanding…
Sometimes it’s best to focus on work, or have some time of and then to look up some interesting things again. Have a good day!
Thank you Joerg for your thoughts – I totally agree. Have a wonderful day and looking forward to seeing new works of art from you!
It didn’t happen to me but I understand your frustration! Can’t wait to see your next work 🙂
Thanks Maria, working on it – hope to post later today. Have a great day.
You really have to keep up with your blogs on WordPress as you can’t go back. I do love WP but that is one feature I don’t like. I am sure every understands. Looking forward to seeing that oil pastel Mary.
Thanks Leanne, I agree you have to keep up with them. I am putting a time limit on my blogging, only in the mornings and no longer than 1 hour – preferably 1/2 hour. That decision alone, will make the situation more tolerable. Have a great day – your photography is amazing!
That’s so frustrating! It’s happened to me too. Anyway, I hope you’re having a good day in the studio. 🙂
Thanks Calee, have a great day yourself!
On these snowy, wind-blowing and freezing days in Colorado, I’m surprised that all of our likes and comments aren’t blown out into the unknown. You’re smart to do other things, Mary, and let the problem work itself out.
Thanks Marylin! We are at 28 today and tonight its going down to 18 – so unusual for TX. Hope you are staying warm in CO.
I’m familiar with this. Because I was away for a while due to our move, I lost all notifications – or rather, I stopped getting any mail notification and I had to start from scratch! However your friends are her, so don’t worry! 🙂
Thank you Marina. Perhaps what happens is when the reader gets too full it’s starts to reset itself – might be what happened in my case. Have a great day and looking forward to your new works!
And then we wonder why no one visits our blog and clicks “LIKE” sigh.
Please know I love your work. And I do know how much time it takes to go threw all the postings. I spend too much time doing the same thing and not enough time on my art!!
Thanks Susan – I’ve limited myself to the blog to one-hour each morning and am very happy when it falls to 1/2 hour or less. Have a great day!
I share your frustration. It has happened to me as well. In any case, i wish you a lovely day!!! 😀
Thanks Patricia!!
I know I had that happening to me too!
I can totally understand your frustration 🙂
Thanks!
Having experienced the same thing, I understand. Thank you for taking the time to address us and keep painting, you do such lovely works!
Thanks for understanding!! You are very nice, much appreciated!
I understand that predicament totally, and how it seems to get even worse the more frustrated and angry you get….it will fix itself….go to your painting…first things first! 🙂
You are so right Cynthia, thank you!
Hello Mary 🙂 🙂
Have a wonderful day in the Studio xxxxxxxxxx
Nigel
Thank you Nigel and going back into the studio in just a few. Have a great day!
🙂 🙂 🙂
