Here is the collection of all 15 oil pastel paintings for the rocks and boulders studies. It was a good challenge, with a wide-range of subjects allowing me to learn about their shapes, forms, textures and values.

Hi, Mary. I love your site. How do you get that flag stats box onto your blog? I’ve searched the WordPress.com options, but haven’t been able to find an answer. Love the idea, as it is so interesting to see where in the world we are going?
Hi Margaret, thank you. If you want the visitors’ flag, you’ll have to left click onto the Visitors box (to the right here) go to the site and there should be instructions for copying the counter to your blog – I may have also copied the link and then created a widget for my side bar and attached it there. I did it so long ago that I’m trying to remember, so these instructions might not be 100% correct. But, I think that WordPress has a widget for an international map to track visitors that is really great. I started my flag counter several months after I started my blog and actually have 85,000 visits so 20,000 aren’t showing up here. It’s a fun option to have.
An amazing collection Mary and all so very different. Beautiful colour and texture. A body of work to be proud of!
Thanks Beth very much – it was a good exercise to do, especially managing through the different shapes and forms.
Lovely series and it’s wonderful to see them all together as they develop. Are you going to take your rocks further? You should!
Thanks Mara for your feedback and thoughts. At some point I might pick them back up, but I have several more subjects to get through that I want to build challenges around. Appreciate it!!
