Thank you, Mary. Info that’s great to know.
Thanks Elena, the battle is never over ~ but I’ve read that WP just won a battle for all of us in a recent case. So maybe the tide may be turning.
I was wondering how it all turned out for you, Mary. I am hoping you have found some resolution.
Working to keep my little blog world clean from this mishap – still finding images out there. So it doesn’t hurt to search and do a check once a quarter to see if anything new pops up. Thanks very much Johannis.
Very interesting. I need to look at this in more depth AS I bumped into a website today that is using my photos from GLaM. I have written them to take it all down. If they comply.. well good. If not I will delve deeper into the extensions from this article, as well as another article I saved where the person went to town, getting the host/provider involved to the point of telling the thief site they would be shut down. UCH! Thanks for posting this!
Hi Resa, I’m so sorry to read that you found your photographs are out there – amazing how many times this happens. I hope you have find some resolution in the article that can help you to shut the abuser down or at least stop using your work. Wishing you the best ~ thank you so much for commenting. Here is an post I did last May on my experience https://oilpastelsbymary.com/2014/08/18/i-am-mad-as-hell-and-im-not-going-to-take-it-anymore/
How sweet of you to care, and to share information with all of us. I’m off to read your article. Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing this and keeping us informed, Mary, and for relaying your own experiences. As long as we are cautious and aware, there is nothing to prevent us from sharing and owning our work online.
Hi Millie, thanks very much. I agree with you, the problem lies in when others share and own your work as well ~ I think Chris put out another update today. Protect your property.
Shut down the reblog option, that should be illegal and as far as I am concerned, WordPress is guilty of helping spread this theft.
Thanks John for your feedback ~
Thank you for sharing this informative post!
