WordPress notified me that I’ve hit my 4th anniversary in this wonderful blogging community, that’s cause to celebrate.
Thank you to all who have followed and/or visited my blog, the last stat shows some 204,300 visits – a number that blows my mind. Thank you also for taking such an active interest in my art, all your comments mean the world to me and are appreciated more than you know. My virtual friends, you are the only ones who get to see my work – your time and response is something I don’t take for granted.
The original purpose for the blog was to see how people would react to my art, but over time I also use it to maintain a level of discipline to keep producing and posting. It allows me to stay in the game and develop my creative muse.
I’ve enjoyed and am grateful for our unique friendships, it’s time then to start year #5.

Thanks Susan, sometimes it takes a while to get to that point and then you start looking at the whole picture. I’m happy to be producing and blogging now at a pace that I can keep up with. I really enjoy your paintings, the daily ones are special because they keep you hand in the game and are about having fun.
Yes the daily paintings are fun, simple and easy to do but keeping up with all the news, and WordPress friends is time consuming. Worth it but I will have to cut back as well. It is about art and having time for it. Time. Keep on enjoying what you are doing here Mary. Your art is special.

I’ve slowed back a bit myself, not able to check my Reader everyday as I used too, but have given myself permission to feel okay about it. It’s been a joy of mine to read your writing, it’s some of the most creative I’ve read and is always a pleasure to spend time enjoying your work.
